Evaluation of music video

I was given a task to create a music video. I’ve learn that music video is not just music video you can make it more than just a music video for example when you watch a Michael Jackson music video he makes it more like a movie 10 to 12 mins my chosen artist is Drake, so I decided to research into Drake’s previous music videos to give me an understanding of what camera shots, editing styles and outfits to use when making my music video. In Drake’s music videos I found that he dressed very casual in just jeans and a normal top. He did not shave which may give the audience an idea that he is feeling really rough. This gave me ideas that I can show how the character is feeling just by the outfit, hair and make-up.

The editing was very fast because the music genre Hip-Hop and Rap which is quite up beat songs. Before creating my music video I researched into camera shots and editing styles of my chosen genre and watched the camera shots and editing styles that Drake used in his music video to give me an idea of what I can do. This will help when making my music video because it help me understanding what my target audience will want and I know they will enjoy it because they liked it in Drake’s music video.
The first thing I done after choosing my song was analyse the lyrics. This gave me the ideas of what I’d want to happen in my music video. Once I had a rough idea I started creating a storyboard. I attempted the storyboard 4 times until I got it right and had my final idea of what was going to happen in my music video. I then I had to decide where the locations were. Once id decided I had to fill out a location release form. To make sure I was organised before I start recording I created a filming schedule to make sure everybody was in the right place at the right time.

This includes the right to copy, distribute and adapt the work. In most jurisdictions copyright arises upon fixation and does not need to be registered and that no can take they work and use it or pass it on to other people
Bias
Bias is when opinions are based form one person or a group of people who have the same views on something .an example of bias would be once you make a screenplay and you think that it is up to good standards you would say to people that screenplay is good and you can present your screenplay to people.
Censorship
Censorship is the suppression of speech or other public communication which may be considered objectionable, harmful, sensitive, or inconvenient to the general body of people as determined by a government, media outlet, or other controlling body. Also
Libel
Libel is when someone writes negative stamens about another parson as if they were true when it is not libel can defame people there are a few types of libel that can defame people. These are thing such as a serious charge of sexual misconduct a claim that someone has a disease
Plagiarism
Plagiarism is the use of someone else’s work and saying it is your own for example if a music artist made a song that they then released as a single Plagiarism is defined in dictionaries as the "wrongful appropriation," "close imitation," or "purloining and publication" of another author's "language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions," and the representation of them as one's own original work but the notion remains problematic with nebulous boundaries. The modern concept of plagiarism as immoral and originality as an ideal emerged in Europe only in the 18th century, particularly with the Romantic movement, while in the previous centuries authors and artists were encouraged to "copy the masters as closely as possible" and avoid "unnecessary invention."

Drake writes his own lyrics so by that all his songs are in his own opinion. Audiences will see this as Drake being real, and when an artist’s talks about real life events a lot of audiences feel they can relate back to them. Drake is able to build a relationship with the audience by the things he writes about in his songs. For example Drake does not try and impress anybody by saying he has a gun etc or anything to do with violence.

Questionnaire evaluation

What is the purpose of the questionnaire? The purpose of the questionnaire is you know what the fan and they audience think about your music and what they want ear the next time.
How will it help you to plan and create your music video? If you have questionnaire and you send it out you will know what the fan want and you can give them what they want or make your video better.
How many people did you ask and why?. I try to ask as many people as I can because I need more than one opinion.
Using 3 different questions (music genre, artist, style of a music video, target audience, etc) explain what results you got and discuss how it will help you with creating your music video?
Who is your favourite artist? The reason I ask this is because I would like to know so I can work with them in the further.
What music channel do you listen? The reason why I ask is because I try my best to get my music video on that channel.
Who would you like me to work with in a video and why? In the further I would like you to work with rick Ross because when you two work tougher it feels like that there new hip hop.
•Overall explain if you are going to use the questionnaire results to help you with creating your music video (yes) because I’ve seen how helpful it is to me and the fans so now I’ll be using it when I need the fans opinion.
